THE PUBLIC MEETING WEDNESDAY NIGHT WITH THE BURNED AREA EMERGENCY REHAB TEAM AND APACHE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT EMPHASISES THE NEED FOR THE COMMUNITY TO BE PREPARED FOR THE THE RAIN AND FLOODING TO COME.
The burn severity mapping of the water sheds around the community of Nutrioso has place us as high priority for the emergency rehab work.
Apache County has delivered 140 cubic yards of sand and 20,000 thousand bags to the Nutrioso Fire Station site.
The sand bag filling hopper will be back on site Sat. and Sun.
We will be filling sand bags on site both days July 2nd and 3rd,any and all residents that are able to help with this effort to prepare for the flooding are ask to join in between 8:00 AM and dinner time.
Those of us that need the flood protection bring pick up and trailers to load the sand bags in.
