History

The Nutrioso Community Association, Inc. (NCA) origins date back to 2003, when a group of residents banded together as an informal group in order to keep the 30 year tradition of the annual Nutrioso Barbeque alive. The BBQ went off success-fully, and it was decided to formally organize in order to perform community functions and projects for the betterment of the community of Nutrioso.

In January 2004, the NCA was incorporated as an Arizona Non-profit corporation under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.

In June 2005, the NCA entered into a management agreement with Apace County, as “a charity formed for, but not limited” to the development of a community center, for encouragement of public interest activities or programs in the local area, and for enhancing the quality of life in the Nutrioso area.

Membership is open to full and part time residents and land owners of Nutrioso. Board meetings are held at the community center the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00 P.M. and are open to the membership and guests.
