NCA Goals and Accomplishments

This amazing list is below though not necessarily in the order of completion.

NCA Accomplishment Since Inception Not necessarily in order:

• We built Kiosk at the Post Office. It was moved to the
  Community Center in July, 2009.
• The Nutrioso Cemetery Kiosk was funded.
• We poured new concrete slab over basketball court.
• Built Ramada and installed lights and electrical outlets.
• Had bathrooms remodeled.
• Sponsored a little league baseball team.
• Worked on building foundation and started repointing
  blocks.
• Installed phones.
• Held many successful BBQ’s and Rummage Sales.
• Built storage shed.
• Had concrete walkways installed.
• The building has been made ADA compliant.
• We upgraded the kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, dough
  mixer, new sink and a hot water heater.
• The kitchen, main room and hallway walls have been
  repaired and painted.
• Hallway lights upgraded.
• Heating system installed, gas lines, furnace exhausts,
  new hallway walls and ceiling also installed.
• Rear windows and seals repaired, painted and several
  windows replaced.
• Secured and refinished picnic tables.
• Purchased some new tables and chairs.
• Poured a concrete pad for the propane tank.
• Installed horseshoe pits.
• Recoated blackboards.
• Secondary entrance repaired and repainted.
• Roof leaks patched.
  
• Electrical box installed on the s/w corner of building.
• Purchased miscellaneous BBQ equipment.
• Purchased NCA trashcans.
• Purchased a wet/dry vacuum.
• Wood floors in the main room, hallway and kitchen have
  been sanded and coated.
• A permanent bandstand is in place under the Ramada.
• A new kitchen sin with a sprayer was purchased and
  relocated under the windows on the south end of the
  kitchen.
• We have purchased portable chair and table utility racks.
• Bear and Beaver figures were added to the Ramada
  and at the south end of the Community Center.
• A roof extension over the sidewalk on the north side of
  the building was installed.
• Electrical receptacles were rewired on the south side of
  the building.
• Electrical receptacles were installed in the kitchen.
• A 21 x 23 concrete slab with an A-frame metal roof
  has been built in front of the BBQ pit.
• A concrete slab was poured to connect the handicap
  parking area with the Ramada for wheelchair access.
• Concrete was poured to connect the south patio entrance
  and sidewalk.
• A wall with a door has been built to enclose the south
  furnace unit.
• Shelves were built inside the storage shed.
• We purchased 2 new deep fat fryers and extra baskets.
• Lights have been installed in the attic.
• The Wolf stove was replaced with a new Sears 36” four
  burner stove that is user friendly.
• The front and side windows have been replaced, framing re repaired and primer applied.
• A wooden bear with “Nutrioso Community Center” was
  placed just above the front windows.
  
• The Nutrioso name and the towns established date were
  put on the water tank.
• Custom cabinets and counter tops were installed in the
  kitchen.
• A Frigidaire chest freezer was purchased for the kitchen.
  

Future Goals:

• The following goals are not necessarily listed in the order they will be done.
• Painting of the front and side windows is still
  pending.
• An outdoor BBQ will be built for the communities use.
  
• Wiring for the storage closets and ceiling fans will be installed in the attic.
• The storage closets at the south end of the main room will be repaired and painted.
• The floors in the storage closets will be sanded and finished.
• Insulation will be put in the attic.
• Handles will be put on the kitchen drawers and cabinets
• Kitchen rods and curtains will be purchased for the lower windows.
• A hand sink will be installed in the kitchen.
• The pressure tank upgraded and line hooked up to the water tank.
• The BBQ pit area will be upgraded and will have a new roof installed.
• A box (coffin) will be built to barbecue the beef and beans for our annual BBQ. To include a chain fall to lower and lift the box.
• Ceiling lights will be renovated in the kitchen and the main room.
• Ceiling fans will be installed in the kitchen and main room.
• The paneling will be replaced in the hall and main room.
  
• An 8’ ladder and/or extension platform ladder will be purchased.
• A two wheel dolly will be purchased.
• Steam tables will be purchased for the kitchen.
• Stainless steel prep tables will be purchased for the kitchen.
• The ceilings will be replaced in the main room and in the kitchen.
• A new wall mount microwave with a fan will be purchased for our kitchen.
• Free up all of the windows so they can be opened.
